Unleash your creativity and immerse yourself in the world of pottery, perfect for couples (date night, besties or family).

This 2 hour session is ideal for those with zero experience as you will have my full attention whilst i guide you through the basics of working with clay. You will both get the opportunity to work on the wheel and hand building, to create your own unique pieces of pottery. 

At the end of the session, you can pick two items that you have made that will then be trimmed, glazed in my studio white glaze and fired for you to collect around 6 weeks later.

You’re more than welcome to bring along a drink or two and some nibbles (although expect your hands to be pretty mucky for most of the session). 

What you will make: Usually a small tumbler, vase, bowl or planter. This is an introductory session so please don’t get frustrated if you don’t walk away with a perfect shape, pottery takes practice so relax and have fun with it. 

What should I bring: Please bring an apron or wear old clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, make sure your nails are short if possible and bring a bobble to tie your hair back.

Please note, this is a private session held in my home garden studio in Prestwick, South Ayrshire.

Cancellation: Any cancellations made within 14 days of the lesson date cannot be refunded, however, I will do my best to find an alternative date to reschedule.

Rescheduling: Rescheduling your Pottery Workshop is free of charge when done with more than 48 hours' notice. However, rescheduling within 48 hours will incur a £40 reschedule fee.

Finished items: I will take great care to ensure your pieces makes it through the entire process, however, due to the nature of ceramics there remains a risk it might not survive. I cannot be held responsible for any undesirable outcomes, including cracking, chips, misfires or explosions.

Safety: I am not liable and cannot be held responsible for any accidents to students or any loss or damage to personal possessions. By completing your purchase, you are confirming that you have read, understood and agree to my terms and conditions.

    Wow what a great experience!

    Booked the workshop for 2 for my husband's birthday as he always wanted to try pottery, and was surprised at how much I also enjoyed it. Yasmine is a great teacher, very encouraging and patient. You get engrossed in it and next thing you have made a pot🍯. Fabulous experience would highly recommend and may even be back again myself.

    We had a lovely time wheel throwing & hand building new creations on a windy Sunday morning. Yasmine was very friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. Can't wait to see our creations when they come out of the kiln. Highly recommend this.

    Christmas present

    This workshop was a present from my sister and we went along on my birthday to make day memorable. My husband and I. Both really enjoyed it. We’re a bit nervous about how we would manage but the clear instructions we got really helped. Would thoroughly recommend to other couples. You won’t get the ghost moment that many of my friends suggested but will have a great time

    A fun morning in the pottery shed

    Myself and a friend had a great morning in the pottery shed with Yasmin both hand building and on the wheel. Whilst being peaceful, creative and a great switch off it was also very challenging but nothing that we weren't encouraged through by Yasmin and both produced some pieces we were pretty proud of by the end of the morning. I would happily go for another try. 10/10

    Lovely wee night!

    We’ve gone to two sessions with Yasmin and loved them both, and lots of fun and made some cute ceramics, highly recommend Yasmin, she’s a great teacher and we’ve loved the sessions, we’ll definitely be back
